Donate a gift to Alzheimer’s Family Center’s Transportation Services Today!

During Older American Month, we take a moment to reflect on the hardships that families who are suffering from memory loss face. Many caregivers are unable to drive their loved ones for proper treatment, thus resulting in isolation and lack of socialization.

Last fiscal year, our transportation program serviced over 24,000 trips to and from the Center, alleviating the duties of over 600 caregivers.  Today, Alzheimer’s Family Center (AFC) is asking you to consider a gift that will provide 24,000 more rides. For caregivers such as Alice, transportation has been a blessing.

“Since I cannot drive, AFC’s transportation allows my husband Roy to be active in their many brain stimulating programs and therapies, instead of being in the house all day,” she says, “I’m also able to attend church, take care of my grandchildren, and finish my own errands.”

AFC wants to continue doing its part in making brain stimulating programs and therapies accessible. With only $40, you will be funding a round trip to and from AFC for one patient. No gift is too small and will go a long way in providing happier and healthier days for our patients and their grateful families.
